Adjusting and Finding things to do

I had a chance to sing with the vocal team on Sunday morning. I was surprised that John asked, but excited to do something that I love to do, especially because it has been awhile since I got to sing with a team in worship. Also, I was just so impressed with how prepared everyone was. That excites me because I think that God honors preparation and I'm excited to see how He uses the planning, the preparation, and also the words that were spoken and sung through all of us involved that day. During part of the service, which was about giving, Stef asked that the church help the children of African refugees get ready for school by filling backpacks with supplies to give to them. Tuesday night one of the volunteers saw that several backpacks were already there and said it gave her chills she was so excited to see that. It was really great to see and great to have a tangible way to help others. It's been a little bit of an adjustment here. This week I felt a little more 'caught up' and I knew what people were talking about. I felt that I could help more, but I still have moments where I just feel dumb. Usually because I've said something dumb or just didn't know how to do something. It's been a daily reminder to myself that I'm here to learn.
