Decision to celebrate
So, I got overwhelmed yesterday. My wonderful husband got in the car, let me cry for a minute then we drove to the mall and looked at tools.
(we also made a Starbucks stop and walked through my favorite places for ideas for me too).
Then at World Market, we had an idea. We decided instead of mourning over the ending that is possibly happening in my work life, we decided to celebrate it.
Pretty glasses with pretty drinks and my husband's delicious food ending with two slices of cheesecake from the bakery at our favorite grocery store. Before dessert, we took a few moments to take turns saying great things about what's happened the last few years and about each other.
Here are some of my favorites that he said about me:
- He thinks I'm much more generous than he is and loves how I'm always willing to give even in places where it hurts.
- I'm willing to sacrifice my own needs or desires for others and to look out for the best for others.
- the way I trust and support him- He sees ideas and can see how things could be and even if I don't see it, I say go for it.
- I let him have hobbies. even when they're crazy.
Yay for my husband and for my sister.
For productive Wednesdays to help move on and for reasons to celebrate.
